Lane Tech suffered their closest defeat since April 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Gulliver Prep Raiders by a score of 7-5. One positive for the Champions, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Tyler Trapp was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Teo Greco was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Lane Tech is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3. As for Gulliver Prep, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-15.

Lane Tech didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-0 loss against Collierville on the 27th. As for Gulliver Prep, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-2 defeat against Riverdale on the 25th.
