The Bel Air Highlanders will head out to square off against the Parkland Matadors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bel Air has given up an average of 13.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Bel Air took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They came out on top against Horizon by a score of 14-11. The win was some much needed relief for the Highlanders as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Andrea Saucedo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off eight hits. That's the fewest earned runs she has allowed since back in February. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alexis Tellez, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Sophia Lara was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Bel Air was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .467. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Parkland suffered their biggest defeat since February 28th on Saturday. They came up short against Americas, falling 12-0. The Matadors have struggled against the Trail Blazers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.
Bel Air's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-20. As for Parkland, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12.
Everything went Bel Air's way against Parkland when the teams last played back in February, as Bel Air made off with a 9-1 win. Will Bel Air repeat their success, or does Parkland has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
