The Franklin Academy Cougars pushed their score all the way to 65 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Prairie View Academy at home by a decisive 79-65 margin. Franklin Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Prairie View Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Abram Anthony, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. Anthony has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Mason Tullos was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Franklin Academy's loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-4. As for Prairie View Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin Academy will take on Wilkinson County Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wilkinson County Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Prairie View Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against River Oaks at 4:00 p.m.
