The St. Joseph Cadets gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 64-36 victory over Immaculate. For St. Joseph, this counts as revenge for the 43-32 loss Immaculate walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Immaculate's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kendra Foy, who scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Jenna Saidman, who scored 13 points.
St. Joseph's win was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0. As for Immaculate, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Joseph will be home for the holidays to greet Stratford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Immaculate will be home for the holidays to greet Stamford at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
