Canistota extended the longest winning streak in Cornbelt (9 Man) this week by beating Marion, 74-20. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
Canistota took down the Bears 74-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Alex Robertson ran for 161 yards in the win.
Lenny Schroeder's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cody Bunger threw for 76 and one touchdown and Nick Hofer had 76 yards receiving.
Canistota's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hawks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Bunger has thrown for 672 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Hofer has 12 catches for 248 yards. Robertson leads the league in rushing with 677 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Mt. Vernon and Howard. The Mustangs enters the contest ranked 25th in the state, while the Tigers ranks fifth.
The Hawks led Cornbelt (9 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 74 points on Marion. Robertson in the win.
