Tommy Acosta Turns in Season-Best Effort
Capistrano Valley was led to victory by Tommy Acosta, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Acosta rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns, and also threw for 240 yards and three touchdowns while completing 78.3% of his passes. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played.

Eimesse Essis produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Tustin to the win on Thursday. Essis rushed for 293 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. That high mark didn't come from nowhere: he has now rushed for 182 or more in the last four games he's played.
Tustin's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Essis and Tustin will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Western at 7:00 p.m.

Xzavior Guess Goes Supernova in El Modena Defeat
El Modena had to settle for second on Thursday, but Xzavior Guess sure wasn't going down easily. Guess turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 80 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 188 yards and two touchdowns. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 61 yards.
With the loss, El Modena broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-1. Guess and El Modena are taking a road trip to challenge Capistrano Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Tristan Zale Delivers Electric Effort Vs Capistrano Valley
While Trabuco Hills might've come up empty on Friday, Tristan Zale wasn't going down without a fight. Zale was dynamite, throwing for 351 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground.
Trabuco Hills is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4. Zale and Trabuco Hills will stay at home for another week and welcome Cypress at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Reily Walker posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He made 14 total tackles.
