The Arthur County Wolves put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 60-14 win over Shelton. 60 seems to be a good number for Arthur County as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Dane Pilakowski continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 243 yards and five touchdowns on only eight carries. Pilakowski hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for nine straight games. Grady Gorwill got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Arthur County's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB nine times. Shelton's QB won't forget Kane Delatour anytime soon given Delatour sacked him nine times.
Shelton's loss came despite strong showings from Ben Myers and Reilly Jensen. Myers rushed for 189 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.5 yards per carry, while Jensen rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown.
Arthur County's win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Shelton, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Arthur County will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hay Springs at 1:00 p.m. Hay Springs is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Shelton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
