On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Estero's defense and their five sacks. Bonita Springs' QB won't forget Kevin Yanes anytime soon given he sacked him twice. Yanes also set a new season high mark in total tackles with 15.
Estero was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 296 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since the start of last season.
The victory (which was Estero's third in a row) raised their record to 5-4. Those victories were due in large part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 13.0 points per game. As for Mariner, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
