The Ambridge Bridgers will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Quaker Valley Quakers at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. Ambridge will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 559th, while Quaker Valley is ranked 270th).
Last Friday, Ambridge took a serious blow against North Catholic, falling 88-45. Ambridge has struggled against North Catholic recently, as their contest on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, it was close, but Quaker Valley ultimately received the gift of a 45-43 win from a begrudging Quakerssquad. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.
Quaker Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Zach Washington out in front who scored 17 points. The contest was Washington's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Coyle, who scored 16 points.
Ambridge's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Quaker Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
