Jayden Aristile and Maxim Micallef certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Aristile scored 22 points along with eight rebounds, while Micallef scored 15 points along with nine rebounds. Those eight rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. D'Elio Cestero was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds.
Orangewood Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacoby Osbourne led the charge by scoring 17 points. Osbourne continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Toadvine, who scored 13 points.
Crooms Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Orangewood Christian, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Crooms Academy will be playing at home against Circle Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Orangewood Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Mount Dora Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mount Dora Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Orangewood Christian in Florida (Mount Dora Christian Academy is ranked 156th, while Orangewood Christian is ranked 542nd).
