The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mundy's Mill, who took down 108th ranked Drew, 32-31. Rodney Smith ran for 301 yards in the win.
Irvin Balfour and Kivouz Hines provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Union Grove. The connection went for 69 yards, the longest such play in AAAAA Region 4A this season.
Hines was the best wideout in the league this week as Forest Park lost to the Wolverines. Hines racked up two receptions for 96 yards. Carlo Dowdell helped Forest Park's passing attack out by catching four balls for 32 yards.
Jonathan Slade put up the best numbers through the air as Union Grove topped the Panthers. He finished with eight completions for 140 yards and two touchdowns. Slade's favorite target this week was Terry Gibbs, who caught three passes for 43 yards.
6-foot-2 quarterback Jay Murray of Drew is the league leader in passing yards this season with 532. He has also thrown five touchdowns. On the ground, the Tigers' Smith has rushed for 1071 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Caleb Ham. The Union Grove star has 11 catches for 222 yards.
A big matchup in AAAAA Region 4A this week will be when Drew takes on Ola. At the moment, Drew is in second, while the Mustangs are in third.
Mundy's Mill's Smith recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against Drew last week.
