Eastern is 10-0 against Sexton since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Eastern Quakers will look to defend their home court against the Sexton Big Reds at 5:30 p.m. Eastern is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
Eastern suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 78-22 loss at the hands of Haslett. While losing is never fun, Eastern can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 610th, while Haslett is ranked 54th).
Meanwhile, Sexton's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Eaton Rapids on the road and fell 52-18.
Eastern's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Sexton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Everything went Eastern's way against Sexton in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as Eastern made off with a 53-27 win. Will Eastern repeat their success, or does Sexton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
