East Dubuque came out on top against Scales Mound by a score of 62-54 on Friday. This was payback for East Dubuque, who suffered a 42-37 loss the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Scales Mound still got an impressive performance from Thomas Hereau, who scored 22 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Hereau hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Cogan, who scored six points along with six assists and six rebounds.
East Dubuque is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season. As for Scales Mound, their loss dropped their record down to 21-8.
East Dubuque will be playing at home against Warren at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. East Dubuque is coming into the matchup with six straight victories at home, so Warren is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. As for Scales Mound, they will head out on the road to challenge Stockton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Scales Mound focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday.
