Baseball Recap: North Port Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, North Port was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They lost 8-2 to the Sarasota Sailors. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Sailors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

North Port saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayden Davidson, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

North Port has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. Sarasota now has a winning record of 3-2-1.

North Port and Sarasota's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. North Port will take on Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, a team that's only allowed 2.2 runs per game. North Port is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.6 runs per game this season. Similarly, Sarasota and Port Charlotte (who has only given up 1.4 runs per game) will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
