Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Battle Mountain). They blew past the Lotus School For Excellence Meteors 53-3 on Thursday. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Huskies had established a 41 point advantage.

Battle Mountain's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kate Kovacik, who posted eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzy Kovacik, who put up seven points and seven steals.

Battle Mountain smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since the start of last season.

Battle Mountain's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-4. As for Lotus School For Excellence, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Battle Mountain didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 47-5 victory against Monument Academy on the 10th. As for Lotus School For Excellence, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 44-25 defeat against Ascent Classical Academy Northern Colorado on the 10th.
