Meanwhile, Three Rivers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Port Aransas.
Three Rivers saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Xavier Carranza, who went 2-for-3 with a stolen base and an RBI.
Yorktown's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-15. As for Three Rivers, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.
