The Tri-State Christian Crusaders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Tome 97-83. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Tri-State Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jeremiah Falko, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 assists. Falko hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Jackson Sartin, who scored 26 points along with three steals.
Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Herold Beljour Jr., who scored 20 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Rayes, who scored 19 points.
Tri-State Christian is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season. As for Tome, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
Tri-State Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Griffins at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Providence Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Crusaders are ranked 78th). As for Tome, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Varsity Opponent has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since February 1.
