For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Peoria Notre Dame and Peoria meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Irish's pitcher stepped up to hand the Lions a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Irish have won 11 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Jackson Roe looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Peoria Notre Dame is 4-2 when Roe allows one or fewer hits, but 9-13 otherwise.
