Rashad Dockery Dazzles in South View Victory
Starting off the list is South View's Rashad Dockery, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Dockery rushed for 202 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.
The victory (which was South View's third in a row) raised their record to 5-2. Dockery and South View will head out on the road to challenge Gray's Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Big Game from Reed As Gray's Creek Won 28-24
Ezekiel Reed was a major factor in Gray's Creek's victory over Lumberton on Friday. Reed did his part (and then some), rushing for 221 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry for the 'W'.
Unfortunately for Lumberton, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Reed. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Reed saw the Pirates), he rushed for 155 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.

Seventy-First Wins Seventh-Straight Thanks to Donavan Frederick
Seventy-First picked up their seventh consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Donavan Frederick. Frederick was dynamite, rushing for 65 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Seventy-First pushed their record up to 7-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Frederick and Seventy-First will look to defend their home field on Friday against Purnell Swett at 7:30 p.m.

Deandre Nance Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Deandre Nance was instrumental in extending Seventy-First's winning streak to seven on Friday. Nance was excellent, rushing for 113 yards on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 151 yards and a touchdown on only 12 passes. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (100.1).
If the past is any indication, Nance could be in store for another big game when he takes on Purnell Swett on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Nance saw the Rams), he rushed for 73 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 65 yards and a touchdown.

A Season-Best Performance from Bryan Charles Leads Cape Fear over Douglas Byrd
On Friday, Cape Fear got the W thanks in part to Bryan Charles playing the best football he has all season. Charles picked up two sacks and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
If history really does repeat itself, Charles might just drop another big game when he faces off against Jack Britt on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Charles saw the Buccaneers), he picked up two sacks, forced a fumble, and made ten total tackles (3.0 for loss).
