Clay City won the last time they faced Linton-Stockton and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Eels came out on top against the Miners by a score of 6-1.

Lizzy Sinders spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Karlee Smith and Bri Rexrode did most of the damage at the plate: Smith went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while Rexrode went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Rexrode a new career-high.

Clay City's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Linton-Stockton, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Looking ahead, Clay City will challenge Edgewood at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Linton-Stockton, they will take on Terre Haute South Vigo at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
