Portage scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They were outmatched by the Mount Horeb Vikings and fell 111-72. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (58), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Portage's loss came despite strong showings from Ricky Yanez and Aidan Warfield. Yanez went 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points, while Warfield went 7 for 13 en route to 19 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Donovan Navone, who posted nine points.

Even though they lost, Portage was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Portage is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9. As for Mount Horeb, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Portage will challenge McFarland at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Mount Horeb, they will take on Platteville at 7:15 p.m. on January 21st.
