The Lawrenceburg Tigers had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They breezed by Centerville on the road to the tune of 40-6. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-0.
Teagan Bennett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 245 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry. Bennett is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played. Hayden Saylor also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Lawrenceburg's victory was their 11th straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.1 points per game. As for Centerville, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-1.
Lawrenceburg will head out on the road to face off against Batesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Batesville is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Centerville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
