The Vidalia Indians''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They lost to Toombs County at home by a decisive 31-14 margin. While losing is never fun, Vidalia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Toombs County is ranked 105th).
Toombs County can attribute much of their success to Dabvn Wadley, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns. Aiden Stokes also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
Vidalia's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Toombs County, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-1.
Vidalia will face off against Spencer at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Toombs County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southwest at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Southwest's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three matches.
