The Allendale-Fairfax Tigers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Branchville by a score of 46-43. Allendale-Fairfax lost against Branchville in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 53-39 score last time.
Branchville found their leader in underclassman Kyran Glover, who scored 19 points. Glover hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. Daniel Jennings was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Allendale-Fairfax has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Branchville, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Allendale-Fairfax will square off against Bethune-Bowman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethune-Bowman will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Branchville, they will head out on the road to face off against Royal Live Oaks Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Royal Live Oaks Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last four games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
