Not much got past Berkeley Miller, who gave up just four hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Halifax Academy off the board. With that strong performance, Miller is now averaging an impressive 5.5 strikeouts per game.
On the hitting side, Rocky Mount Academy's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Martha Calhoun, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That run was Calhoun's first of the season.

Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
