The Uintah Utes will head out on the road to square off against the Timpanogos Timberwolves at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Uintah is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
Uintah suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Provo by a score of 42-40.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Briley Ottley, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie White, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Timpanogos suffered their biggest defeat since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Payson, falling 58-27. Timpanogos was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-14.
The losing side was boosted by Georgia King, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Ella Maddox was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five steals.
Uintah has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Timpanogos, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-11.
Friday's matchup is shaping up to be a scrappy match: Uintah have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 24.8 rebounds per game. It's a different story for Timpanogos, though, as they've been averaging only 17.3 rebounds per game.
