Chicago Mathematics & Science found their leader in underclassman Marcus Hughes-Bey, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hughes-Bey has scored at least a third of Chicago Mathematics & Science's points. Casey Fleming was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Uplift's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2. As for Chicago Mathematics & Science, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Uplift will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Rickover Naval at 5:00 p.m. Rickover Naval is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Chicago Mathematics & Science, they will head out on the road to square off against Northtown at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
