Mexia kept a clean sheet against Harmony Science Academy  on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  1-0  win over the Harmony Science Academy Tigers.  Jason Avila had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Black Cats.
The  victory made it two in a row for Mexia and  bumps their season record up to 6-10. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-12 Harmony Science Academy and 2-9 Hearne. As for Harmony Science Academy, their defeat was  their sixth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 2-12.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mexia will host Robinson  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Harmony Science Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hearne  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
