The Lassen Grizzlies had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 55-47 win over Quincy. For Lassen, this counts as revenge for the 78-68 loss Quincy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Leading Lassen to victory were Joey Harrison and Blake Tow. Harrison scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 blocks, while Tow scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Conner Finks, who scored 6 points.
The win got Lassen back to even at 3-3. As for Quincy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Lassen's road trip will continue as they head out to face Virginia City at 1:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Virginia City presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lassen in their respective states (Virginia City is ranked 43rd in Nevada, while Lassen is ranked 786th in California). As for Quincy, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Portola at 2:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Portola focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
