The Villa Rica Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Mays 82-46. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Villa Rica has scored all season.
Mays was led to victory by Germani Wilson and Derron Lindsey ii. Wilson dropped a double-double on 17 points and 26 rebounds, while Lindsey ii scored 26 points along with six rebounds. That's the first time this season that Wilson scored 15 or more points. Omari Barnes was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Villa Rica's defeat was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 6-10. As for Mays, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Jackson the next time they take the court. Villa Rica will host Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Mays will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
