The National Trail Blazers will face off against the Belmont Bison at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. National Trail is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.1 runs per game this season.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, National Trail turned things around against New Miami on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Vikings a 12-0 shutout. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Blazers considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Morgan House was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, National Trail got a massive performance out of Taylor Reynolds, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that Reynolds has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Carley Hamm, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Belmont fell victim to Archbishop Alter and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Knights, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Bison's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Belmont saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenna Mcdowell, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
National Trail's win bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Belmont, they moved to 6-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. National Trail has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Belmont struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
