The Conway Springs Cardinals entered their tilt with the Belle Plaine Dragons with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Conway Springs enjoyed a cozy 56-40 victory over Belle Plaine on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Conway Springs also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Conway Springs to victory, but perhaps none more so than Macie Hartman, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Koester, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds and five steals.
Conway Springs has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Belle Plaine, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Conway Springs will challenge Trinity Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Conway Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday. As for Belle Plaine, they will head out on the road to face off against Independent on Tuesday. Independent is coming into the game with four straight wins at home, so Belle Plaine is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
