The Centura Centurions's 13-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They strolled past Gibbon with points to spare, taking the game 64-49. Centura's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Mason Gorecki was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season.
Centura's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-12. As for Gibbon, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
Centura won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Centennial at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th. Centennial is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Gibbon, they will square off against Giltner at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Giltner is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
