The team  relied heavily on  Caleb Patton, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high.
 Patton wasn't the only one making solid contact: Washington  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jeannette only managed six  hits.
 Meanwhile, Monessen was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their 26th straight  defeat  dating back to last season. They came up short against  Sewickley Academy, falling  15-0.
 Monessen's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Washington, their win bumped their record up to 2-9.
 Everything went Washington's way against Monessen in their previous meeting  two weeks ago, as Washington made off with  a  19-3 victory. Will the Prexies repeat their success,  or do  the Greyhounds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
