The Rock Hill Blue Hawks lost against the Guyer Wildcats back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Rock Hill had to suffer through a rough 42-14 loss at the hands of Guyer. While losing is never fun, Rock Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 139th, while Guyer is ranked 19th).
Ahmed Yussuf was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 97 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Rock Hill's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 9-1 Prosper and 8-2 McKinney (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 75% over those games). As for Guyer, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Rock Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Guyer will head out on the road to face off against Coppell at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Coppell is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
