After two games on the road, LaBrae is heading back home. They will take on the Bristol Panthers at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Even though LaBrae has not done well against Garfield recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. LaBrae put the hurt on Garfield with a sharp 63-39 victory. The victory was just what LaBrae needed coming off of a 65-27 loss in their prior game.
LaBrae found their leader in underclassman Ella Kuszmaul, who scored 27 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kuszmaul has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Riley Rowe, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Bristol posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 47-23 margin over Mathews. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Bristol has posted against Mathews since January 7, 2021.
LaBrae's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Bristol, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.
LaBrae skirted past Bristol 27-25 when the teams last played back in December of 2021. Will LaBrae repeat their success, or does Bristol have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
