Harmony Christian has struggled against Abundant Life Academy recently, as their contest on Thursday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Harmony Christian still got an impressive performance from Benjamin Minton, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 18 rebounds. That was a full 60% of Harmony Christian's points, marking the 12th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lince Ulter, who scored four points along with two steals.
Harmony Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Abundant Life Academy, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harmony Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kearny Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 30th. Abundant Life Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on January 19th. Lincoln is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
