Basketball Recap: Agua Dulce Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Agua Dulce extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Avery Calvez. The Agua Dulce Longhorns came out on top against the Odem Owls by a score of 34-23 on Saturday thanks in part to Calvez, who went 7 for 12 on her way to 16 points. The match was her third in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Alyssa Vinton, who posted two points in addition to five assists and five boards. She has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Several Owls players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Summer Emerson, who put up two points and four steals.

Agua Dulce's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Odem, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Hebbronville the next time they take the court. Agua Dulce will head out to face Hebbronville at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, while Odem will play them later in the day, at 9:15 a.m.
