Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Miami Trace couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dover Crimson Tornadoes on Thursday. The Panthers' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Miami Trace saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gaige Stuckey, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Miami Trace's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6. As for Dover, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.
