The Timberlake Tigers had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They really took it to Genesis Prep Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-41 win at home. That 33 point margin sets a new team best for Timberlake this season.
Tyler Engelson was his usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Jacob Yetter, who scored seven points along with six assists and six steals.
Timberlake's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-12. As for Genesis Prep Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timberlake will take on the Badgers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bonners Ferry knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 16 games -- so hopefully the Tigers likes a good challenge. As for Genesis Prep Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Saints at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
