Robbinsville has gone a perfect 10-0 against Hayesville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Black Knights will look to defend their home field against the Yellowjackets at 4:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Robbinsville has four straight victories, Hayesville has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
If Robbinsville beats Hayesville with seven runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Everything went the Black Knights' way against A.C. Reynolds last Monday as they made off with a 7-1 win. The Black Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.
Naomi Taylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Dreylee Webster was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, six RBI, and one double. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high. Lexie Williams was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
Robbinsville was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .433. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as A.C. Reynolds only posted a batting average of .208.
Meanwhile, Hayesville lost 12-1 to Cherokee on Monday.
Micalynn McClure was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned (and ten unearned) runs off nine hits. McClure was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
McClure wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mallory Peck, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Brianna Patterson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Robbinsville pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Hayesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
Hayesville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Robbinsville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .374. It's a different story for Hayesville, though, as they've only averaged .229. Will they be able to contain Robbinsville's hitters?
Everything went Robbinsville's way against Hayesville when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Robbinsville made off with a 10-0 victory. Will the Black Knights repeat their success, or do the Yellowjackets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
