The Argonaut Mustangs will venture away from home to challenge the Union Mine Diamondbacks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Argonaut will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Argonaut will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Calaveras, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Mustangs walked away with a 4-0 win over the Red Hawks on Wednesday. Give the Mustangs' pitching crew some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.
Not much got past Hailey Dewald, who gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Calaveras off the board. Dewald has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bri Bowers was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Union Mine, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past Galt 8-7. The victory continues a trend for the Diamondbacks in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won seven in a row.
Kaylee Henkel was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ruby Luce, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Allysen Perrah was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Argonaut pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Union Mine, their record now sits at 3-7.
Everything went Argonaut's way against Union Mine in their previous matchup back in March, as Argonaut made off with a 15-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
