Last Friday, Mountain View Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Fresta Valley Christian, but they still walked away with a 31-26 victory.
Mountain View Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Eryn Demko, who scored 21 points along with two steals and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Mengel, who scored four points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Berkeley Springs lost to Southern Fulton on the road by a decisive 50-35 margin on Monday. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Berkeley Springs came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 95th in West Virginia, while Southern Fulton is ranked 348th in Pennsylvania).
Mountain View Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Berkeley Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-8.
