The Troy Warriors lost against the Sunny Hills Lancers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Troy fell 56-46 to Sunny Hills.
Sunny Hills got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Nathan Sanchez out in front who scored 20 points along with nine assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sanchez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Shim, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Troy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Sunny Hills, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Troy will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Fullerton at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Fullerton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 592nd, while Troy is ranked 201st). As for Sunny Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against Sonora at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
