StoneBridge's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Thompson, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Thompson scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Maye, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
StoneBridge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Hampton Christian Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.
StoneBridge will head out on the road to take on Portsmouth Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Virginia (Portsmouth Christian is ranked 300th, while StoneBridge is ranked 319th). As for Hampton Christian Academy, Hampton Christian Academy and Atlantic Shores Christian will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
