The Anderson Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Logansport Berries at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Anderson beat Marion 64-59. Given Anderson's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 26th, while Marion is ranked 132nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Damien King, who scored 28 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Anderson's points. Colin Lewis was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven assists and six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Logansport was able to grind out a solid victory over Winamac on Tuesday, taking the game 66-59.
Anderson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. As for Logansport, their win bumped their record up to 9-11.
Everything went Anderson's way against Logansport when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as Anderson made off with a 64-44 win. Will Anderson repeat their success, or does Logansport have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
