The Fossil Ridge SaberCats will head out on the road to challenge the Windsor Wizards at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Fossil Ridge's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last six matches.
Fossil Ridge came out on top against ThunderRidge on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive 13-run fifth inning. The SaberCats put the hurt on the Grizzlies with a sharp 15-0 victory. Considering the SaberCats have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Vedant Sharma looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Luc Gaca-Thiele was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Mason Griffin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI.
Fossil Ridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Windsor sidestepped Poudre for a 4-2 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wizards.
Windsor also got a great performance from Wyatt Gustafson as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over six innings pitched.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Teegan Cole, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Another player making a difference was Mason Jordan, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run.
Fossil Ridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Windsor, their record is now 15-5.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Fossil Ridge has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .509. However, it's not like Windsor struggles in that department as they've averaged .487. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
