Vista PEAK Prep has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  challenge The Far Northeast W Warriors at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Far Northeast W took a loss in their last  contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Vista PEAK Prep, who comes in off a win.
 Last Friday, Vista PEAK Prep got themselves on the board against Hinkley, but Hinkley never followed suit. They really took it to the Thunderbirds for the full four quarters, racking up a  67-0 victory at home. The  matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Vista PEAK Prep had established  a  53 point advantage.
 Vista PEAK Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Marcel Evans Jr led the charge by rushing for 55 yards and  a touchdown, while also catching  a touchdown.  Kyron Chiku-martinez did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 105 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Meanwhile, Far Northeast W's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Denver South on the road  and fell  35-7. Far Northeast W was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  28-0.
 Vista PEAK Prep's win  bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Far Northeast W, they have  not been sharp recently, as they've  lost five of their last six matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
 Vista PEAK Prep and Far Northeast W were neck-and-neck when the teams last played  back in October of 2022, but Vista PEAK Prep came up empty-handed after a  21-20 defeat. Thankfully for Vista PEAK Prep,  Antavious  Hughes (who rushed for 163 yards and two touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
