Softball Recap: Atlanta Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Atlanta waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Linden-Kildare Tigers a 15-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-4 back in February.

Atlanta got a massive performance out of Carlajah Adger, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Adger has posted since back in February of 2024. Ella Garrett was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

Atlanta's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Linden-Kildare, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Atlanta will head out on the road to square off against Redwater at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give Atlanta their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Linden-Kildare, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers duke it out with the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maud will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Linden-Kildare surely won't give up without a fight.
