After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Monticello, Crossett was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Drew Central Pirates with a sharp 14-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.

Crossett got a massive performance out of Caitlyn Lindsey, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one run. Those five RBI gave Lindsey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lainey Graves, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Crossett's win bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Drew Central, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crossett will welcome Star City at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Drew Central, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Rison at 4:30 p.m. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.8 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of.
